Our first snow fall this season

Did you know that without cold this winter, we won’t have nuts this fall. If our nut trees don’t get enough cold, then the flower buds may not open in the spring. If the flower buds don’t open, they can’t get pollinated. If pollination doesn’t occur, then nut meat doesn’t set.

So as cold as it is out there, it is just one more reason we need Mother Nature and her beautiful spell known as winter.
